Fascinated by the Beavers in the lakes near my home, I painted a family of them. The youngsters, or kits, are delightful: intelligent and playful, they sound much like a human baby, especially when they are hungry! Beavers are excellent parents and teach their young everything they need to lead a successful life. The Red-winged Blackbird appears to be listening in on a lesson which mother Beaver is delivering to her children!
